SDUMP v1.2 is written by Chris Dunford and is dated May 17, 1985. Chris
also wrote BURNOUT, a very popular program to blank your screen after
'x' minutes of no keyboard activity.
This program copies whatever is on the current screen directly to a disk
file called SDUMP.TXT. Prior to this, at any time, just type:
SDUMP
(assuming SDUMP.COM is in your path someplace, perhaps in your \UTIL
subdirectory.) It then makes itself into a small TRS which remains
available until you reboot. Although SDUMP.COM is only 523 bytes in size
the TSR it creates uses about 3 k of memory. (If it is used quite often
of course you could put it into your autoexec.bat file to be automatically
available at all times.)
Whenever you want to capture the current screen to a disk file, just
type:
Leftshift-Print Screen
This makes a file called SDUMP.TXT on the current directory. Each sub-
sequent time you thereafter you use the same character combination to
capture an additional screen, it appends to the same file. (If you
only want the first screen on its own file, just stop momentarily and
rename that to something different.)
(Note: Rightshift-Print Screen will dump to printer.)
There was no .DOC file for this program.
